A Personal Connection
This partnership is deeply personal for Dr. Harris. Growing up, she and her mom regularly volunteered at the Elmbrook Humane Society, spending time feeding cats and dogs, walking dogs, and giving much-needed attention to the shelter’s animals.
Those early experiences left a lasting impression and helped shape a lifelong love for animal welfare and community service. Over the years, Dr. Harris’s family also adopted several kittens from the shelter, each one becoming a beloved family member with a truly memorable personality.
That personal connection is what makes this quarter’s sponsorship so special. “This is near and very dear to my heart,” Dr. Harris shares. “I genuinely care about my surrounding community, and this is my way of helping support different organizations.”
How Can You Help?
As part of the Q1 initiative, Harris Family Dental will be actively engaging patients in the effort. The practice will be sending out text and email messages with a list of much-needed items requested by the Elmbrook Humane Society, making it easy for patients to contribute in a meaningful way.
In addition, patients will notice something special in the lobby this season, a festive giving tree. This Christmas-style tree will be decorated with photos of the Harris Family Dental staff’s pets, serving as a fun and heartwarming reminder of why the cause matters. Patients are invited to stop by, drop off donations, and be part of something bigger than themselves.
At the end of the quarter, Dr. Harris and another team member will personally hand-deliver all donated items to the Elmbrook Humane Society. This final step reflects the practice’s hands-on approach to giving back and reinforces their commitment to making a real, tangible impact.
